Our Mission

Passion. Experience. Diligence.

History

In 1868, Daniel C. “D.C.” McKillip opened the first law office in Seward County, Nebraska. At that time, Milford was the County seat. G.B. France joined the practice and McKillip & France sought to keep the County seat in Milford, but in 1871 it was moved to Seward. A few years later, McKillip moved to Seward and opened the law office of McKillip & Page with H.C. Page. In 1903, L.H. McKillip, D.C.’s son, joined the firm. In 1926, L.H. McKillip was joined by Chas. H. Barth, forming the law firm of McKillip & Barth. Ivan A. Blevens joined the firm in 1941, and the firm became known as McKillip, Barth & Blevens. Ivan’s son, Robert I. Blevens, joined the firm in 1968 and continues to practice as the senior member in the office. Gregory C. Damman joined the firm in 2001 and the firm became Blevens & Damman.
